Dearly beloved in Christ,
As a parish we were busy with 40th Year celebration in 2011. The members of our parish as a whole have been participating in different programmes.
Year We will continue Lay Training Course. I hope our Parish shall accept LTC as a regular programme. The valedictory function will be held on 2nd March 2012. We are going to be publish a souvenir on that occasion. I invite all of you to participate in the literary competitions. The articles of first and second winners of the story writing, poem writing and essay writing will be published in Souvenir. Please participate in it.
Our Sunday School is entering into a new year. I appreciate teachers and children for the enthusiasm and commitment with regard to the functioning of Sunday School. Though we have a good Sunday School in our parish, we fail to make sure of the attendance of our children in worship. Christian worship is the central act of Christian education. Without participating in the communion, they cannot grow in Christian spirituality. In Holy Communion, we present the Gospel in nutshell and experience Jesus Christ more clearly. So no one can miss the liturgy of Holy Communion.
Fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Give priority to divine knowledge. Examination is an opportunity to realise your strengths and weaknesses. Corrections can be done when we discern weakness.
We live in this world only one time. If we live it for the glory of God it is enough. Albert Einstein says, “Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance, you must keep moving.” We are called to move from sin to salvation. A stagnant community cannot grow to its full stature. Let us grow unto the full stature revealed in Christ Jesus as Paul wrote to Philippians, “I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the sharing of his sufferings by becoming like him in his death” (Phil 3: 10).
Let me conclude my letter with the words of Mother Teresa:
Life is a dream, realize it.
Life is a challenge, meet it.
Life is a duty, complete it.
Life is a game, play it.
Life is a promise, fulfil it.
May the Triune God keep and guide you in 2012.
Yours in Christ,
